I plan on doing some major updating over the holiday break, but I wanted to fill you in on what I’ve been doing this week.
I’m catching up on my reading for pleasure, and I read Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, and Churched by Matthew Paul Turner last week, and I started The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown last night.
After following him on Twitter for a while, and reading his blog, I’m now adding Matthew Paul Turner to permanent link status on my blog. He is hilarious (if nothing else, check out his regular posts on Pictures of Jesus.)
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy his site (and follow him on Twitter. He’s @jesusneedsnewpr on the Twitter machine.)

These are some friends I met in South Africa.
When we asked them what they wanted to be when they grew up, they told us doctors, soccer players, lawyers… Everything you would expect. But most of them will never see those dreams come true. About 75% of these kids were born HIV positive.
This is Avalon Cemetery in Soweto, outside Johannesburg. Its 430 acres are almost at capacity, with 90% of its yearly burials being AIDS-related deaths.
Today is World AIDS Day. I beg you to take two minutes today to think of how you can get involved, to make a difference.
